QNT-1 is a high-precision microprocessor-based device designed for receiving, processing, and displaying signals from incremental encoders or other pulse sensors, with the capability to generate discrete control signals for external equipment.

🎯 Purpose:

The counter provides:

  • 📡 Measurement of an input physical parameter (rotation angle, linear displacement, number of revolutions) from an incremental encoder.
  • 🧮 Mathematical processing of input data (counting, scaling, filtering) with subsequent display of the current value on the built-in digital indicator.
  • ⚡ Generation of discrete output signals for controlling actuators according to user settings.

🚀 Key Features and Functional Capabilities

🔄 Two operating modes:

  • 📐 Quadrature counter – operates with two counting inputs (DI1, DI2), determining the counting direction based on the phase shift between the signals.
  • 🎛 Command counter – operates with one counting input and a separate command input to set the counting direction.

🔌 Universal inputs:

  • Supports connection of PNP/NPN-type sensors, dry contacts, high- and low-level sensors, and incremental encoders.
  • 🛡 Galvanic isolation of the inputs ensures protection against industrial interference.

🌐 Data communication interfaces:

  • RS-485 with Modbus RTU protocol support for integration into automated process control systems (APCS).
  • USB port for direct PC connection and parameter configuration.

💡 Two discrete outputs (DO1, DO2):

Programmable setpoints SET POINT 1 and SET POINT 2 for output activation.
